In 2017, Fremont received the Community Enhancement Award from Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce for being a proven asset to the community by improving the image and stature of the area. 

From 2013 to 2016, CV Weekly readers voted Fremont the "Finest Elementary School." 

Fremont was on the California Business for Education Excellence Honor Roll in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Fremont was honored in April 2006 with a California Distinguished School Award. This is awarded by the State Board of Education for excellence in our educational program and is a top educational honor in California.
